SIGNAL ARCHIVE
This is a library of signals that
I've used in this project. It includes the raw time series for each
lightning signature in binary format. It also includes the compressed
and reconstructed versions of those signals. This library is being
made available for use by those trying to reproduce my results, or to explore
new ideas.
AVAILABLE TIME SERIES SIGNALS:
DECYPHERING THE FILENAMES:
The fist group of letters and numbers (i.e. a0001,
tatra248, etc.) indicates the name of the signal
For the second group of numbers (i.e. 400, 300,
...), the first digit in that group indicates the target bit rate for the
compression.
The filename extension indicates whether the file
is a signal (.bin = binary, .recon = reconstructed compressed signal) or
a parameter file (.txt, .log).
EXAMPLE:
a0001.150.recon
is a lightning signal that has been compressed with a target bit rate of
1.5 bits/sample, and then reconstructed.
