Quantum and Classical Information Sciences Team
The Quantum and Classical Information Sciences team is engaged in
basic and applied research on computational problems arising in
diverse areas, including quantum information processing, theory of
computing, modeling and simulation, and signal and image
processing. Academic strengths of the team include both traditional
and quantum information theory, mathematics, software design and
engineering, and traditional computer science. The team's mission is
to provide a theoretical and programmatic competency in computing and
information sciences.
Along with basic research, there is also a strong emphasis on
interdisciplinary research and applications to LANL programmatic
needs. Team members are involved in (or leading) a number of
interesting projects across the laboratory.
