XV. Mort and Nort raise their Coffee Cups and Offer a Toast

Mort stands high and proposes
a toast
to this planet so bizarre
and unexpected to the high-ranking
that the existence of such objects
in the universe is now proclaimed
secret.
Nort, too heists a cup.  He hails
his happiness
happy to be home, he sez
happier to reunited with my twin friend
for that separation
truly tore us
apart.

While others raised their wine glasses and
their fancy bubling champagne
these two clinked together the rims of their coffee cups
plucked a sugary glazed donut from the platter
and grinning, grinning, grinning
dunked it in their steaming drinks.
